KFFN is a Dutch/Filipino organization that leads the Philippine Independence Day Celebration in the Netherlands. All members and partner organizations are volunteers to reach a common goal. Philippine Independence Picnic (PID) is the biggest annual event celebration by both Filipino and Dutch communities for more than 10 years now. Every year, visitors are growing exponentially. Last year, more than 7,500+ people attended and participated in the celebration from the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, and Germany. Filipinos, their families, and their friends from different nationalities enjoyed the whole day full of entertainment, food, and celebration of Filipino culture. 

 

For 2024, the celebration will be held on the 8th of June, Saturday, in Spaarnwoude Houtrak, Halfweg. As is customary, the main intention of this event is to create an opportunity to celebrate Philippine Independence Day to bring both Filipinos and other nationalities together. This event has been a way for everyone to meet and greet old friends, make new ones, create new memories, have fun, and feast on Filipino food.

 

We aim to maintain our core objective for this initiative, “Celebrating with a noble mission….Celebrating for a good cause”. Although the gravity of the cost to run a successful event increases every year, we are still committed to supporting a charitable institution/civic project in the Philippines through the profit we generate.
